1. Site content
The chapters on mountmate.online are written to give a reasonable, illustrated walkthrough of typical TV mounting and setup tasks. They are educational reference material, not personal advice on your specific wall. Following a chapter is a DIY decision you take — we cannot inspect your wall from here.
2. Specs & brackets
Where a chapter recommends a bracket spec (VESA pattern, weight rating, span), the figures are guidance based on common installs. Always cross-check the bracket's own documentation and your TV's official VESA spec before drilling. Manufacturers occasionally change product lines mid-year; the chapter spec is the rule, the brand name on a box is not.
3. Not professional advice
The guide is not structural advice, not electrical advice, not fire-safety advice, and not a substitute for a qualified person where one is needed. The chapters explicitly mark "stop and call a professional" callouts for the situations where this matters — heed them.
4. Workmanship
Because you do the install yourself, there is no workmanship warranty from us — the bracket has its own manufacturer warranty (typically 5 years). The terms page covers the limits of what we promise about the guide content.
5. Third-party links & reviews
Where we link to a manufacturer datasheet, a tool review, or an external safety standard, we're pointing to information that lives on their site. We don't control what they publish, and a link isn't an endorsement of everything they do. We don't run affiliate links anywhere on the guide.
6. Mock-ups, snaps, names
Some of the visuals on this site (the example chat threads on the homepage, the activity panel on the about page) are illustrative rather than live. Names in testimonials and credited questions are real first names plus an initial, used with permission. The "live" numbers on the about page are pulled from the dashboard end of each month, not in real time.
7. Trademarks
Brand names referenced in plain text (TV manufacturers, soundbar brands, mount manufacturers) remain the property of their owners. We mention them so you can tell whether a chapter applies to your kit; we don't claim any affiliation, partnership, or sponsorship.
8. Our liability
Nothing on this page (or anywhere on the guide) limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, the limits in our terms apply. The guide is provided "as is" — read it, judge whether it fits your situation, and stop if it doesn't.
9. Versions of this page
We refresh this page when the underlying terms change. The footer carries the version stamp; that's the canonical reference if you ever need to know which version of the terms applied when you read a particular chapter.
