Terms &
conditions.
The framework underneath a Mount Mate install. Eleven short sections covering quotes, slots, payment, warranty, cancellations, who carries what risk, and what happens if either of us doesn't keep their end. Last refreshed June 2026.
1. The agreement
These terms apply whenever you ask us for a price and we provide one. Sending a snap and accepting the texted figure counts as accepting these terms; you don't need to sign anything separately. We agree to fit the screen described, and you agree to pay the texted price within seven days of completion.
2. The texted price
Our quote arrives by text or email after we've seen the snap. It is a fixed flat price — not a "from" figure, and not a starting point for an upsell. It holds for 30 days from the moment we send it, after which we may need a fresh snap because walls do drift sometimes.
If, on site, we find something that genuinely changes the job (load-bearing surprise, fire that runs hotter than spec, a wall that turns out to be plasterboard hiding a void), we will tell you before we drill, and you can: a) say carry on at the same price (and we'll absorb the difference), b) accept a revised price in writing, or c) walk away with no charge.
3. Slots & arrival
We confirm a 90-minute arrival window when you accept the slot. If we're going to miss it, you'll hear from us as soon as we know — never later than 30 minutes before the window opens. If we miss the window without warning, your install is free.
4. What you need to have ready
- The telly, unboxed and ideally already nearby
- Access to the wall (sofas, units, mirrors moved or movable)
- A power outlet in the room (or we'll bring an extension)
- Someone over 18 to sign off the job at the end
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion. We accept tap-to-pay on site (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card) and we'll send a payment link by text the same evening if you'd rather pay later. The invoice matches the texted price exactly.
Late payment: after seven days, statutory interest at 8% above base rate per the relevant late-payment legislation, plus a small admin charge. We'll send three reminders first, all by text.
6. Warranty & callbacks
Twelve months on the workmanship from the day of install. If anything shifts, sags, drops, or stops behaving like a permanent fixture, text us — we come back and fix it for free, usually within a week.
The bracket has its own manufacturer warranty (typically 5 years). We hand you the paperwork at the end of the job.
Warranty doesn't cover: damage from someone else's drilling into the same wall later, alterations made by another installer, accidental damage from impact, or anything caused by structural changes to the property after our work.
7. Cancellations
Cancel any time up to 24 hours before the slot at no cost — just text us. Inside 24 hours: $40 for the held diary slot. If you're not at home for the slot and we can't reach you within 20 minutes, that counts as inside-24 cancellation.
If we cancel: we cover any reasonable re-slot. If the cancellation is repeated and our fault, the install is free when we finally land it.
8. Liability
We carry public liability insurance to standard installer limits ($1m). That covers anything we damage on your property while installing. It does not cover: damage to the screen from a manufacturer defect we couldn't have known about, problems caused by hidden services (electric, water, gas) that aren't on any documentation, or losses arising from the screen being mounted in a location that turns out to be unsuitable for non-structural reasons (heat, condensation, neighbour noise).
Our maximum aggregate liability under these terms is capped at five times the price of the job. None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited under law.
9. Your consumer rights
None of these terms reduce the statutory rights you have as a consumer. If anything in here looks like it does, treat it as if it doesn't.
10. Data
How we use what you send is covered in the privacy policy and cookies policy. Tl;dr: we use it to do the job, then we delete it.
11. Law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction we operate from. If something goes wrong, text us first — most things we can sort in a chat. If that fails, we'll suggest mediation. After that, courts.
